SSC JE 2020 Examination pattern and selection procedure:
The Examination will consist of two Papers:
Paper-I –Objective type (Computer Based Examination) – 200 marks for 2 hours and
Paper-II –Descriptive Type (Written examination) – 300 marks for 2 hours and document verification
Final selection and allocation of posts will be done on the basis of the performance of candidates in Paper-I+Paper-II and the preference of Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations exercised by them at the time of Document Verification
Educational Qualification as on 01.01.2021
Candidates required the educational qualification for various posts are Degree or Diploma in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.
Age Limit as on 01.01.2021:
- Junior Engineer (Central Water Commission/ Central Public Works Department) – 32 Years
- Junior Engineer (Border Roads Organisation/ Central Water Power Research Station/ Directorate of Quality Assurance(Naval)/ Military Engineer Services / Farakka Barrage project/National Technical Research Organisation) – 30 Years
SSC JE Salary
Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400/-
Application Fee
The application fee candidates should pay for SSC –JE 2020 – Rs 100/-
No application fees for the women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, Persons with disabilities (PWD), and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation.
Hundred rupees fee can be paid through Net Banking, BHIM UPI, or by using different ATM cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

- Fill your details for one-time registration process
- Login to online system with your Registration number and password
- Click Apply link in Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination
- Fill the online application form
- Upload the scanned colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20KB to 50 KB) with the date on it not more than three months old from the date of the publication of the Notice of Examination
- Upload your signature
- Pay the application fee (100 Rs)
- Finally, Submit the application form
- Take the final printout
